And now for something completely different ...
We recently returned to the City of Kingston to do some documentary shooting including very familiar landmarks such as Fort Henry, shown here from a north facing lake perspective.
We also wanted to highlite some of the less known but equally fascinating historical treasures from the area such as the remains of the HMS Prince Regent.
The Prince Regent rests in the narrows of Deadman's Bay which is immediately adjacent to Fort Henry.

My brother, David Gibbins, swimming the length of the wreck which rests in the bay in about 8 to 10 feet of water.
This is a very easy shore dive that can be done from a public beach on the north shore of the Bay.
The weed growth around the wreck is still dense in the late Fall. An ice-out dive in April/May, however, when the water is cold and clear and the weeds not up yet, would reveal much more of the structure.

Although we used scuba for our dive, this site could is easily accessible and shallow and would be a great location for snorkellers.
Me, settling into 4 feet of weeds, preparing to shoot from beneath the wreck.
A short video from this dive will be posted here shortly.
